That's not a good bug report, could you please copy the output of mplayer?

I've tried mplayer -vo ggi under X with the new libggi installed, it
displayed something with wrong colors.

i do not see the pb with mplayer and ggi. mplayer still works and still works
with ggi and will always. so ?
for sneX9, what a pity, but that's life, flowers are all going to death, that
the same thing for software..

When I compile MPlayer with --enable-ggi

and try

mplayer -vo ggi

It says something about no video and I get no picture output.

You can somehow set the driver ggi should use (the docs are a bit unclear
about this), maybe mplayer -vo ggi:fb could work?

Have you tried to load your framebuffer driver before running mplayer?
Anyway, under X a ggi application should use the X output driver.

Hi, mplayer will still work without the svgalib target, the new libggi
doesn't require svgalib anymore and you still can use the other libggi modes
(framebuffer,...).

It's too bad that snes9x requires svgalib, I think I'll have to put up a new
plf package of svgalib then.

Meant to imply that since libggi was the common for all and -4 was the
subject.

Itchy send finger. That last line should read:

Yes, and "some" people use MCA, too. Mdk only has a certain amount of
resources, and using them to debug a lib that's being used by a
declining userbase.

What's with all the apps using svgalib? Why not keeping it for compatibility?

because:
- it doesn't support most modern chipsets
- it's insecure
- it's freeze the box hard
- fbcon is a must better replacement (better design, cross platform,
support nearly all video cards, ...)
