[Cooker] Reiser vs ext2
My cdrecording problems have gone away since I reinstalled last night and made my / partition ext2 instead of reiser. I am, however, getting a strange message about "unable to stat " one of my partitions now (a reiserfs one). some bugs bite, eh? ;-) -- -m-

Fixed in last kernel. Hope so. My new install is the result of trying the 2.4.3-5 kernel rpm (which disappeared during my pm nap) last night with rpm -Uvh as the process of installing it. Hosed my sys. So I reinstalled w/ext2fs and now am having xfree probs, which I didn't before. So now I am off searching for the 2.4.3-5 rpm on some mirror or other, and fearlessly I will try the rpm -U approach. Lost everything only a few hrs ago, so not much built again this time... BTW, my approach is to put new kernel rpm into a dir (kernel2435) and then let loose with the rpm -U and yes I have today's initscripts. Fun! -- -m-
