Reiser performs better. However I am using Ext3 for all my other partitions it is more stable (if that is possible) and more flexible in my opinion. I definately would not try to use Reiser yet with NFS or with a /boot partition. No one filesystem is the be all and end all, thats why its nice to be able to choose. Both Reiser and ext3 make FAT file systems look primitive by comparison.
