Ok, it should work only for urpmi, I'll take a look. The problem with curl
currently is that no timestamp is used to reload or not the file and an error
message about description is just a warning.

François.

Hi, this command doesn't work if curl is installed, I get the following
answer :
#urpmi.update --wget Contrib
lit le fichier depslist [/var/lib/urpmi/depslist.ordered]
retrieving description file...
curl: (19) descriptions: No such file or directory.
)
re d'In
...retrieving failed: curl failed: exited with 19 or signal 0
retrieving source hdlist (or synthesis)...

But, if I remove curl package, it seems to work properly.

Thanks for your help.

Use urpmi.update --wget. Or install wget and remove curl.

[Cooker] Urpmi and Curl: broken?

2001-12-01 Thread Meles MELES

Hi,
I've just installed a cooker from scratch by ftp today.
I get a stange message with urpmi.
When i launch a "urpmi.update -a", I get this message :
retrieving description file...
curl: (19) descriptions: No such file or directory.
)
re d'In
...retrieving failed: curl failed: exited with 19 or signal 0

and it goes on retrieving the updates.

If I relaunch it, it seems to ignore the lack of changes and goes for a
full update, with the same message.

Is this a bug?

BTW, it seems that Galeon is broken.

Best regards.
