Today's went further. I got to choose type (cable), (dhcpcd) found Realtek|Rtl8139 --->>but only once, not twice like usual then, "no ethernet adapter has been detected on your system. I cannot setup this connection type." Offered to make a boot disk, but the drive never activated. Kernel panic unable to mount root fs at 21:05. Chromium is verrryyy slloooww (not on my 8.0 install though..) Thanks. -- -m-
