Cool, let me know the ins and outs about this and all possible problems, enhancements etc. I have only one ws at home now so I cannot do any tests... The rpm will sit there, no problem. -- Regards // Oden Eriksson, Deserve-IT.com

I've checked the differents licenses and it seems possible since you follow this license part of the Ohio State University license (in the LICENSE file) : " Copyright (c) 1990 The Ohio State University. All rights reserved. Redistribution and use in source and binary forms are permitted provided that: (1) source distributions retain this entire copyright notice and comment, and (2) distributions including binaries display the following acknowledgement: ``This product includes software developed by The Ohio State University and its contributors'' " maybe adding this statement in the %description ... lenny

Yes it looks interesting. Accessing reliably the serial port of a machine through a net socket with several clients is not so trivial. I hope I can find some time to give it a try. Please keep the src rpm up there for a few days so I can grab it. Reading quickly the web page, it seems that it comes from serious enough people to make it an automatic candidate for contrib at least. Hi there. I have just packed a very cool software (I think) but the license is unclear to me. A Mandrake employee could easily decide if it's really "distributable" or not. If it's a go, I can imagine a MandrakeSoft coder really would like to wrap this one up as happened with rdesktop. My clue is it could be possible to use the same gui? So..., my question really is..., could this be interesting? The origin is here: http://www.conserver.com/ My packages (built on klama) are here: http://www.deserve-it.com/Cooker/SRPMS/conserver-7.2.6-1mdk.src.rpm http://www.deserve-it.com/Cooker/RPMS/conserver-client-7.2.6-1mdk.i586.rpm http://www.deserve-it.com/Cooker/RPMS/conserver-daemon-7.2.6-1mdk.i586.rpm Beware, it's totally untested... Chears. -- Regards // Oden Eriksson, Deserve-IT.com
