admin [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes: [...] Thanks for the verification. md5sum definitely not a match on the rpm from mirrors.secsup.org repository. The same package from redbox matched your results (and then installed as expected). but you said redbox didn't work!? I am new to the cooker participation, how do we notify the admins of secsup of the bad file? I don't really know, I don't have admin contacts myself.. Next synchro will probably fix. Please keep cooker in CC. -- Guillaume Cottenceau - http://people.mandrakesoft.com/~gc/
[Cooker] drakxtools-newt is a bad rpm?
urpmi, rpm, and MCC, are giving an error on this package from: ftp://mirrors.secsup.org/pub/linux/mandrake/Mandrake-devel/cooker/i586/Mandrake/RPMS and: ftp://mandrake.redbox.cz/Mandrake-devel/cooker/i586/Mandrake/RPMS MCC just errors out, saying only unable to install package. If I download the files, and it's buddies drakxtools, harddrake, and harddrake-gui, and try to add them as a local source, I get more info. Error then is: Unable to update medium; it will be automatically disabled. Errors: unable to read rpm files from [/home/tester/tools]: bad rpm /home/tester/tools/drakxtools-newt-9.2-16mdk.i586.rpm - When trying to upgrade existing packages individually using rpm command in a terminal: - error: drakxtools-newt-9.2-16mdk.i586.rpm: V3 DSA signature: BAD, key ID 70771ff3 error: drakxtools-newt-9.2-16mdk.i586.rpm cannot be installed - As stated above , the file was downloaded from multiple servers, all have identical file-size (5,421,109 bytes). Hope this helps someone... P.S. was the chkrootkit problem I reported last week actually an issue, or was it an anomoly? -Barry
