wombat cannot find libssl3.so because it has been moved away from
/usr/lib. Adding /usr/lib/mozilla-1.0.0 to /etc/ld.so.conf did it for
me.

[Cooker] evolutiondoesn't work

2002-06-07 Thread gabor farkas

hi,

i update my computer from cooker, and now evolution doesn't start...
it gives a warning and dies:

evolution-shell-WARNING **: Cannot access Bonobo/ConfigDatabase on
wombat: (IDL:OAF/GeneralError:1.0)

and he opens a dialog box with the following text:

Cannot initialize the Ximian Evolution shell: Configuration Database nto
found

then dies

bye,
ggabor

2002-06-07 Thread mandrake

Yeah, I ran into this problem yesterday too. My problem at least was
related to my updating of mozilla to 1.0. It appears that even rc3
stuck it's *.so files in /usr/lib/ (which is appearantly where evolution
looks for them), but mozilla-1.0.0 now just leaves them in
/usr/lib/mozilla-1.0.0. If you do a

ln -s /usr/lib/mozilla-1.0.0/*.so /usr/lib/.

you should be able to fire up evolution.

Hope that helps,

-Charlie

$ rpm -qa |grep mozilla
mozilla-1.0-0.rc2.2mdk

well, i have also upgraded/built the following from cooker:
libgtk+1
gtkhtml
bonobo
bonobo-conf
liboaf
libgal

however, i recall that i had this problem with evolution-1.0.5-2mdk

also note, i'm rebuilding all from srpm to ensure that all of the deps
are satisfied.

maybe this'll help you track down the bugger.
