But anyway, 4MB was buggy, t'is fixed now.
[Cooker] hdlist is empty!! Please fix asap!!
Looking around on various archives, I see that .../MandrakeCooker/oxygen/Mandrake/base/hdlist is empty. This of course screws up tools like urpmi. Can we please have this corrected ASAP? No, no luck, and noone seems to be addressing the issue yet... still waiting on it.. On Sat, 8 Jan 2000, Nathan Wykes wrote: I'm trying to install oxygen but am running into a problem. I'm doing a hd.img install. The second stage can't load - looks like the hdlist and depslist files are size 0 on all the mirrors. In one of the terminal windows it shows an error to the effect that it can't open or find a file - I assume it's looking for hdlist. Anyone had better luck? Nathan

Use mirror or rsync and repeat it until nothing new appears. rsync is better, because it has an option to delete files on your mirror which are no longer on the server, but before the first use of rsync you need to run mirror -T ... to get the timestamps synchronised. Here's my rsync script. Alter what applies to you, including the last line according to where your mirror is located. The trailing slashes are important. #!/bin/bash echo echo hdc11 must be mounted to /mnt/local/cdrimage !! echo rsync -vrltu --rsh ssh --delete \ rsync://rufus.w3.org/linux/MandrakeCooker/oxygen/ \ /mnt/local/cdrimage/oxygen/ -- Regards, Ron. [Cooker] hdlist
Something wrong with hdlist. I have just downloaded the locales and Mesa, usually I stop fmirror with ctrl-c, run genhdlist, re-run fmirror. fmirror delete the partial file in.hdlist and reports that the mirroring is finished. Now fmirror reports new hdlist size. Bye Alessandro

I have done many attempts but the results is the same Why you don't create a script like this : #!/bin/sh fmirror -f MirorrCookerWithExcludeGenhdlist cd /path_to_cooker_rpms/ ./misc/gendhlist . Each time you relaunch your mirror you regenerate the hdlist. Thank you but the hdlist on sunsite.se and rpmfind have a different size from the hdlist generated on my PC. Bah :-) Bye Alessandro

I tried re-intaling cooker several times during this weekend, now re-running fmirror and the only thing downloading is hdlist: Getting file 'Mandrake/base/hdlist' size = 11536072 I was getting package rhs-hwdiag at line 12 does not exist midgard.php at line 1657 does not exist Here is the same. Downloaded yesterday :-( Anyway I think that the hdlist can be generated with genhdlist. Every time I go to ftp.sunet.se the hdlist is new... 11MB !!! The third time I have tried to interrupt the transfer with ctrl-c. genhdlist /mirror/cooker and run fmirror again The hdlist is now the same on ftp.sunet.se. I got one rhs-hwdiag and two midgard errors. The installation still works. I have an urgent question, the boot img runs the old instalation and the readme file says nothing about Panoramix !!! On Mandrake website there is no info about this and I don't want trash other 700 MB CD just for trying. The Panoramix boot img is gi_xxx ? At this time the image size is large for standard CD Many thanks Alessandro
