Hi all,
I've mentioned this before, but it hasn't fixed itself with the past few
update rounds, so I thought I'd mention it again.

Basically all that is happening is that kdesktop is failing to launch after I
login though KDM (with LDAP authentication). I can run kdesktop from the
console afterwards, and it's fine other than a "mcop warning: user defined
signal handler found for SIG_PIPE, overriding" error.

My .xsession-errors file contains:

startkde: Starting up...
kbuildsycoca running...
DCOP Cleaning up dead connections.
mcop warning: user defined signal handler found for SIG_PIPE, overriding
could not get user name from user id
DCOP aborting call from 'anonymous-2438' to 'knotify'
ERROR: Communication problem with knotify, it probably crashed.
mcop warning: user defined signal handler found for SIG_PIPE, overriding
QFont::setPointSize: Point size <= 0 (-3)
could not get user name from user id
DCOP aborting call from 'anonymous-2443' to 'knotify'
ERROR: Communication problem with knotify, it probably crashed.
mcop warning: user defined signal handler found for SIG_PIPE, overriding
could not get user name from user id
DCOP aborting call from 'anonymous-2446' to 'knotify'
ERROR: Communication problem with knotify, it probably crashed.
mcop warning: user defined signal handler found for SIG_PIPE, overriding
could not get user name from user id
DCOP aborting (delayed) call from 'anonymous-2448' to 'kdesktop'
ERROR: Communication problem with kdesktop, it probably crashed.

I'm also getting this error in my syslog:

I'm running an up-to-date cooker install (I think)
Cheers for your assistance!
