Re: [Cooker] kernel upgrade still does not create initrd, nor replace links
My first install was a clean install. Maybe around 2.4.3-10 or something... how would I clean it up? I also noticed other people complaining about it (generally after the fact when they tried to reboot) --- Chmouel Boudjnah <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > SI Reasoning <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> writes: > > > I have enclosed a screenshot of my /boot directory > > after doing an upgrade from 2.4.3-19 to 2.4.3-20. > > Notice that inird is linked to a non-existant > 2.4.3-19 > > while there only exists a "newly" created > > initrd-2.4.3-12. [Cooker] kernel upgrade still does not create initrd, nor replace links
I have enclosed a screenshot of my /boot directory after doing an upgrade from 2.4.3-19 to 2.4.3-20. Notice that inird is linked to a non-existant 2.4.3-19 while there only exists a "newly" created initrd-2.4.3-12. Also notice that all links are to non-existant 2.4.3-19. The system seems to remove the old kernel and replace it with the new kernel but creates an incorrect inird and does not change the links to the new kernel. I am off to do another make install! = SI Reasoning [EMAIL PROTECTED] gnupg/pgp key id 035213BC __ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Auctions - buy the things you want at great prices http://auctions.yahoo.com/
