KDE 1.99 is also known as "KDE2 final beta", as a quick glance at any KDE
FTP site will tell you - they have two directories, but one is a simlink
to the other.

Surely there must be better places for you to troll?

(BTW, it's a pity that you didn't take spelling lessons instead of your
PhD, although I suppose it wouldn't make you look like such a pompous
idiot if you put Dr. Dickhead (w/spelling certificate) as your name.)

PS It's kde.org.

PPS I never realised the McDonald's University did PhDs.

Me too, same problem ! Is it the new menu.rpm or ?

It's probably pam. Could someone please add a dependancy onto the newest
pam in the related packages?

Thanks.

It is indeed pam - installing the new version solved the login problem.
Thanks.

After finally successfully installing the latest KDE2 stuff, I find I

have upgraded, but I don't know what it is.

menu 2.1.5 works fine for me, and now works fine for these people as well
after they upgraded pam.
