I recently upgraded all my packages on my mandrake machine
to all the latest cooker releases...proved to be
a little mistake cause the cooker kernel release (2.4.3-24mdk)
screwed up a lot of things.
1. I didnt get a initrd.img of any kind and the symlinked stuff in /boot
got screwed up. This was of course easily fixed with mkinitrd and changing
the symlinks.
2. my cd-rom stopped working. I couldnt use supermount or such to
access it (*sob*..) Then I checked /etc/modules and it was cluttered
with lines of "ide-floppy"...I couldnt tell if this was correct, but I added
ide-cd too...And supermount worked. However ide-floppy cant
be found in /lib/modules/ and I cant mount the floppy...:(
