yes... that was why I was so curious. It was the only
package installed and then some font issues were
resolvedvery strange

Was it the only package you upgraded before noticing changes
in fonts .

install last mozilla-fonts and see if this fix the problem

Is there a reason why this package changed the way my
fonts work? Lucida became a bit too fancy compared to
the way it used to be...and now arial seems to work
correctly where it was ugly before. Unfortunately
courier still looks awful and I have to use
lucidatypewriter (from mozilla) as my fixed font.
