I had previously reported this, the require is wrong in the .spec

Just run the install Without checking depends,
There now only 3 fox pkgs, libfox, libfox-devel, and fox-example-apps.

If you prefer not using nodeps I can send you the fox rpms I made after
removing the fox require.

[Cooker] missing fox, or bad dependencies for libfox0 and libfox0-devel?

2002-06-22 Thread Wesley J Landaker

Hey folks,

I can't seem to install libfox0-devel or libfox0 -- they both want the
fox package (which doesn't seem to exist anymore...)

As shown below, fox doesn't appear to be in cooker or contrib currently.
I don't have any fox packages installed currently, so it's not an
old-version-of-fox problem (which I saw a thread on earlier in this
list).

$ urpmi libfox0-devel
To satisfy dependencies, the following packages are going to be
installed (9 MB):
libfox0-1.0.11-3mdk.i586
libfox0-devel-1.0.11-3mdk.i586
Is it OK? (Y/n)
installing
/data/mirrors/Mandrake-devel/contrib/RPMS/libfox0-1.0.11-3mdk.i586.rpm
/data/mirrors/Mandrake-devel/contrib/RPMS/libfox0-devel-1.0.11-3mdk.i586.rpm

error: failed dependencies:
fox is needed by libfox0-1.0.11-3mdk
Installation failed
Try installation without checking dependencies? (y/N) n

$ urpmi fox
The following packages contain fox: fox-example-apps libfox0-devel
libfox0

$ rpm -qa | grep -i fox
$
