But this requires big changes to mirror/installation media structure and all tools that maintain them (upload script, gendistrib etc). I do not think anybody has time to do it now; as something for post-8.2 it may be considered but I never have seen any reply to my earlier suggestion. -andrej

To do it you need RPM header that is available either as part of RPM file or as part of hdlist. So you must download either of them. -andrej
