The sound daemon crashed in ML 8.2b1, as also earlier reported to this list. That is, sometimes it did, sometimes not. most often it did (I booted the system maybe 10 times.) I did not see any response to this problem, and the qa.mandrakeasoft.com system seems to be out of order.
