[Cooker] synthesis.hdlist2.cz not updated in contrib/cooker

2002-10-03 Thread Eric Fernandez

The synthesis file in the contrib of 9.0 has been correctly updated to
the current version, but the contrib of cooker has still the 21st Sep
version and is not updated. This is not a big problem, but I just wanted
to warn !

Eric

I can confirm that 9.0 Contribs can now be successfully added to the
Software Manager; this is what worked for me:

URL: ftp://ftp.sunet.se/pub/Linux/distributions/mandrake/9.0/contrib/RPMS

Path: synthesis.hdlist2.cz

Bye,
Phil

Yes, for 9.0 it works, but for Cooker the hdlist2
files are not being updated, even though the packages
in contrib are. Whatever your thing that
automatically regenerated those files when packages
changed is now broken and needs to be fixed.

Handled offlist, AGAIN. This time I changed the Subject line to not
have the word [Cooker] in it, so maybe he won't ignore it think it's
list mail. We'll see. The other alternative is that some evil soul
send him several megabytes worth of messages and fill his yahoo mailbox
for a couple days and the bounces will make the autoremove scripts drop
him from the list. But that would be unethical. Rather, if everybody
in this list sends him an email describing that nearly the same way he
got on this list is the way he gets off. Refer him to this page:
  http://www.linux-mandrake.com/en/flists.php3

Maybe THEN he'll get the message. And before anybody asks, no I'm not a
list administrator. I don't think Phil is either. AFAIK, there is only
one and he's in Paris.

Blue skies... Todd

Make a filter that reacts on the word removemailinglist or
unsubscribe in either the body or the header and don't let them pass to
the list; send them an autoresponse that explains how to unsubscribe
instead.

Should not be so hard and saves a lot troubles.
