[Cooker] upgrade from 7.2 to cooker
I'm trying to upgrade my Mdk 7.2 installed to the cooker and I cannot do it... is there any document or something explaining how to do it ? Whenever I try to install something from cooker I get failed dependecies because the new libstdc++ is needed, if I try to install the new libstdc++ all the older packages complain because they need the older (there's no backward compatibility, why the libraries can serve the old programs ?). Thank you. -- Pupeno: [EMAIL PROTECTED] www.pupeno.com.ar

It sounds like you are just trying to manually install RPM's, not actually perform an upgrade. If you are trying to upgrade, why not write the hd.img to floppy, boot off of it, and perform the upgrade that way? -- Brian I'm trying to upgrade my Mdk 7.2 installed to the cooker and I cannot do it... is there any document or something explaining how to do it ? You have to upgrade everything for the upgrade to cool smootly. How do you try the upgrade ? with DrakX or with rpm directly ?
