Wait... does it only segfault with 1.2.7pre1 or also with 1.2.6 from current cooker/betas? -- Guillaume Cottenceau - http://www.frozen-bubble.org/

It segfaults on many different mp3 files. I realized that it doesn't always happen after the third load, it happens at various times, from the 2nd load to the 10th load. >You could also try the 1.2.7-pre1 and tell me if it fixes your >problem. These are the only non-beta3 packages I have installed, I have pretty much a vanilla beta3 install, my fs is ext3. SS _ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp.

I use oggs from a local HD. What output plugin? This usually happens with artsd plugin (unfortunately). Also, have you tried with 1.2.7-pre1? -- Guillaume Cottenceau - http://www.frozen-bubble.org/

Trying to do so on local hard drive (not smb) works. Can you reproduce with local hard drive? Do you use mp3/ogg/xm/..? Does it segfault on always the same mp3 file and it doesn't if it's another mp3 file? You could also try the 1.2.7-pre1 and tell me if it fixes your problem. [Cooker] xmms segfault (reproducible)
When I run xmms, play a song, load another song and play it, load another song and play it, then hit "l" to load another song, it crashes. All songs are being played from an smb mounted directory. The output from xmms is shown below, the bit before the Segfault happens between loads that work. Gtk-WARNING **: invalid cast from `(unknown)' to `GtkObject' Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkobject.c: line 1034 (gtk_object_set_data): assertion `GTK_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed.
