Thanks for stating that opinion.
The details were that I didn't choose to mount anything on /tmp, but that
the installer did that automagically.
So I'd say that the installer was at fault.

wanna fight? ;p

the pb of "partition containing cooker mounted in /tmp" should have been fixed
some time ago (i'd say around a month).

i need more info...

I think the important question is, who's at fault here?
Was it a mistake in that he mounted the wrong partition
as /tmp, or did the installer setup a partition to be
mounted as /tmp? If you're doing an install from the
hard drive, and it mounts the installation source as
/tmp after the install is done, then this is an installer
problem. Nothing should ever be mounted in /tmp. That's
what /mnt is for.

I dunno what the details were here, nor whether or not
hard drive installs do this. I'm just stating an
opinion.

that's the problem when you choose CLEAN_TMP at install.

Ah, ok.
That's what I should have chosen then.
But i would have liked a virtual console at the default install.

boot with "linux fdisk" and you'll get fdisk
