Strange, we did many upgrades recently as internal QA testing and we didn't see this problem. It was a little bit post-beta4, though. It'd be nice to test again with the RC (it should be released beginning of next week). -- Guillaume Cottenceau - http://www.frozen-bubble.org/

The problem is with permisions you need to log in as root and chown the permisions. Yea I had the same problem for some reason the permisions were set for user 600 something. -- -~`'~-~`'~-~`'~-~`'~-~`'~-~`'~-~`'~-~`'~-~`'~-~`'~-~`'~-~`'~-~`'~-~`'~-~`'~- Brook Humphrey Mobile PC Medic, 420 1st, Cheney, WA 99004, 509-235-9107 http://www.webmedic.net, [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] Holiness unto the Lord -~`'~-~`'~-~`'~-~`'~-~`'~-~`'~-~`'~-~`'~-~`'~-~`'~-~`'~-~`'~-~`'~-~`'~-~`'~-

Very, as I can recreate it just by copying my previous .kde back. I'll try and isolate the specific problem if I can. -- The meek shall inherit what they damn well please - 'Under the Gun' Sisters of Mercy <<-->> << This email is monitored by the US government under the auspice >> << of the USA act. That is normal behavior. use urpmi/rpmdrake to sync your betas with current cooker.

Unfortunately I don't have the time to debug and fix those problems as recommended for the Cooker list. I just went throurgh the ctrl-alt-SysRq list up to r (reboot) and KDE started properly on reboot. I didn't gather information (log, etc). At least this is a reproductible problem. -- Luc Roseberry Consultant Tivoli certifié / Certified Tivoli Consultant Facilité Informatique Canada

Having done a bit more experimentation, this seems to be caused by the "Enable icon zooming" option (Control Center->Panel->Look & Feel). Except the effect is permanent, not only when the mouse is over the icon. -- The meek shall inherit what they damn well please - 'Under the Gun' Sisters of Mercy <<-->> << This email is monitored by the US government under the auspice >> << of the USA act.
