RE: [Cooker] Back from Vacation.
french tanné /french -- for the french-speaking in north america, the usual meaning is to be tired of something. Hence "tanné de t'entendre pleurer", I'm tired of hearing you cry... Where it comes from, I'm not sure. Probably some trappers from way back when have something to do with this... Re: [Cooker] Back from Vacation.
tan: is the brown colour on the skin, lying around lazy in the sun. The word "tan" (verb) has multiple meanings. The other meaning is to convert animal hide into leather. From OpenSource to OpenTopic : we had "Cooker the linux list : geeks at the bleeding-edge", then "Cooker the soap opera : geeks can have hollidays too", and now "Cooker the english lesson : geeks can speak too" :-) Is MandrakeSoft diversifying its activities ? -- Guillaume Rousse Iremia - Université de la Réunion Plus petites unités de mesure - de longueur : le millimètre - de volume : le millilitre - d'intelligence : le militaire
