I have always downloaded in the past and this time I intend to buy. Yes,
I'm also going to donate but haven't made up my mind as to which
project. Sure would like to see auto-detection of joysticks. Humm ;)

Uhm, and why don't you download?  If you want to give Mandrakesoft money,
you can donate it.  If you donate the same amount of money you would've
payed for the boxed version, Mandrakesoft will get more of the money. 
(Because there's no distributor that needs to get paid in the case of the
boxed version.) Plus you can exactly specify where your money should be used
(ie. GNOME, Cooker, .).
