 It would be cool to have scsi scanners working !

 For that, can we have in detect_devices.pm a function for
 scsi as detect_devices::usb_probe() for usb ?
 I think a part is already coded in getSCSI().

 Thanks

Here a simple algo for scsi scanners.
Say me if it's wrong ;)

if cat /proc/scsi/scsi return an scsi scanner (a new
scsi_probe() function ?)
run the sane sane-find-scanner
use the output - create the link (/dev/scanner)
launch scanimage -L to verify if the scanner works properly
end if

I don't have a scsi scanner anymore, but I sent some scsi entries to Yves some
time ago.
I can't find it on the archive, or in my outbox, sorry.
If it's usefull, I've scooped the mail-archive:

http://www.mail-archive.com/cooker@linux-mandrake.com/msg65083.html
$ cat /proc/scsi/scsi
Attached devices:
Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00
  Vendor: HP   Model: CD-Writer+ 7200  Rev: 3.01
  Type: CD-ROM ANSI SCSI revision: 02
Host: scsi1 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00
  Vendor:  Model: Scanner 636A4Rev: 1.40
  Type: Scanner ANSI SCSI revision: 02

I myself used a microtek (2) scanmaker 630, connected with a buslogic bt930
scsi card.
sane output:
device `microtek2:/dev/sg2' is a Microtek ScanMaker 630 / ScanMaker
V600 flatbed scanner
cdrecord -scanbus  output:
1,6,0   106) '' 'Scanner 600A4   ' '2.21' Scanner
