Ah, that did the trick. I maintain directly from cooker, but have had
this print queue installed since my initial 7.2 installation. I've
changed the printer/filter type, but never completely removed and
re-added it.
Printout looks better than ever. Maybe the Win2000 update was just
coincidental with some cups/printer package update on my system.
