Where is tn3270 (console)? Maybe that wasn't even in contribs, but it's 
out there.

It is in contribs, contribs are not included in download edition, see

There's a limited amount of space on the 3 CD's.  For one program to be
added, another has to be removed.  It seems that x3270 got removed due
to other higher priority programs in the list.  The "priority" is very
subjective and changes from person to person.  Sadly, you can't please
everybody all the time.
