All I can say is that my SCSI and SCSI RAID controllers are Advansys or other brands, never Adaptec and for the same reason. Personally, I beleive a boycott is in order. When Diamond released their first cards with only windows drivers back in 93 or so, then refused to release the specs to the public, everyone I knew at the time (including myself) refused to buy any Diamond products, and suggested that their friends/family do the same. Diamond video cards went away for awhileand when the newer models were released the company was much more open about releasing specs to developers.
