I think in 2.2.x, the smbd mainly runs as the user (with security=user), but this may have changed recently, and has changed in HEAD, but I am not sure to which extent. The quota issue is a problem with the ext3fs's support for quotas. Not really a bug that Mandrake created. I like very very much this release: seems to be very stable, up-to-date and full of innovation. So, we all shouldn't forger that this is a .0 release and should instead be happy for such a wonderful work. 9.0 is the best Mandrake ever, rock solid. Gnome2 has a great look and feel. Whoever said it was a windoz breaker was right on. I put my money where my mouth is a couple of days ago and ordered the powerpack. Hope many others do the same. Mandrake is the best distro on the planet, IMHO. Dale Huckeby
