Re: [Cooker] Problem installing 9.0 rc1
Could not uncompress second stage ramdisk. This is probably a hardware error while reading the data. (This may be caused by a hardware failure or a linux kernel bug) Is this using a DVD drive by chance? I've had the same problems (albeit with 8.x) while using my DVD drive. The solution was for me to restart installation on my secondary (cdrw) drive. I'm not sure if that will help or not, but it might. Another thing to do: make SURE your cd rom is supported (it should be, most basic cdroms are)

But, at the moment (or at least last week), unless you know to ALT-F2, and kill scroll-keeper, it prevents you from installing a default cooker install. It seems Drakx doesn't wait for it to timeout. 1º What's the best way to read this list, i am using Outlook, it's a MUST where i work, i message arenot linked, i have tried the Mail-Archive page, but i prefer to download all of the messages at once. I'm not Pixel, but I may be able to answer the first question. I'm using Outlook 98 at work myself. I've found that Outlook 98's Organize feature works quite well for this fairly-high-traffic list. I have it configured to automatically move all e-mails that contain "To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]" into a Personal Folder, so that it doesn't clog up my limited Exchange server mail space. I can then browse the Personal Folder and sort by either the Subject field (works great for ongoing conversations) or by Received date (which is how I normally view it when I'm not overloaded with back e-mails).
