I thing the cores appear when I log out and the panel is closed, so the apps are getting deactivated/closed/removed/whatever... -- J.A. I have the same problem: logging out always adds 4 core dumps from bonobo-activation to my home dir. This must be caused by some of my GNOME settings (maybe panel applets?), because the cores didn't appear in a newly created test account.
