Try to mount it with these command :
[root@desktop kernell32]# umount /mnt/cdrom
[root@desktop kernell32]# mount /dev/sda4 -t vfat /mnt/cdrom

Installed Cooker on my 7.1 (Dell optiplex GX1) and lost the entire
system.  Reinstalled and worked fine except that it did not detect a
100MB parallel port zip.  Being new to Linux, I finally added a mount
point to fstab and an insmod command to rc.local for ppa.o.  the zip
icon properties are, indeed, incorrect.

Thanx a lot that was it for the cdrom the floppy is still gone =/
for the zip its a funny bug in kde desktop item for zip it says the url
is /mnt,zip it should be /mnt/zip hehe like that its never gonna find it
but my io error when i want to access my floppy is still there.
