I Am Not running a mixed system my systems are All cooker.
The chromium I have is 9.12-9mdk..

The error I am receiving did not occur prior to the release of libpng-1.2.1-4mdk.

Chromium needs to be rebuilt against that pkg.

The Chromium sources seem to come with their own png sources (glpng), which
are outdated.

No problem

 grrh why reinvent the wheel

Don't reinvent but improve upon the components of which it is made so that it handles
bumps and potholes better.

I had the beta2 cds so I uninstalled chromium..-9 and reinstalled ..-8 from the beta
and it runs without problem or objection with libpng-1.2.1-4.
