Mixing stable release and cooker has never been supported. Either run
cooker or 9.1, not something in between (or if you do, don't complain if
something breaks).

You may want to try rebuilding the src.rpm (and some of the dependencies
for good measure), but either way, you should rather post to a mailing
list where people care about 9.1, this list cares (at present) about 9.2
only. Some places that may be more applicable are
[EMAIL PROTECTED], alt.os.linux.mandrake, mandrakeclub.com etc etc.

Mixing cooker and stable packages is bad... try downloading the src.rpm
and rebuilding for MDK 9.1 (note: that is completely and totally
unsupported).

I see. However I upgraded my NFS Server from 8.0 to 8.2 about a month ago.

lockd is running on both clients and the server.

I've lok around, and yes /etc/gconf/2/path was missing.
deleted the package reinstalled, and the file was back.
But, gnomemeeting wouldn't start up. (same message)
I've seen that all rep under /etc/gconf/ have "root.root 0700" for access.
I've set 755 for all rep, and gnomemeeting has started.

You don't happen to have your home directory mounted via NFS??? There seems to
be a problem with some Gnome Apps when this is the case. I am having the same
problem but only with home dir's that are mounted via NFS.

Hi Florin,
I downloaded it an it installed ok but no matter how a run it (with or
without the -a option) it crashes. The output is:
Assertion fail: File ../common/contain.cxx, Line 892
Null pointer reference

bort, ore dump, gnore?

Even if you choose ignore it crashes displaying the gnome crash dialog.
Any ideas? Rebuilding the RPM didn't help. It runs ok for Vincent
though?

Cheers,

well, it was available at perso.mandrakesoft.com/~florin/gnomemeeting
since the very night I posted the message :)
But I still have to fix openh323 a little bit.

If you have an error message while running gnomemeeting, use gnomemeeting
-a to disable the gnome applet.

2001-08-16 Thread Vincent Meyer

Atha,

Florin e-mailed me privately to give it a try. So far it seems to work,
however right out of the box it segfaults because of a Gnome applet error.
You can run it sucessfully as:

gnomemeeting -a

the -a disables the applet that's causing the problem. Also grab the latest
libraries from the same directory, they're the most up to date.
