try rpm -q perl, i believe you don't have the latest release.

Another flaw in the autorequires/autoprovides...

Surprise, surprise, surprise.  I've given up on tracking cooker until
the perl auto(requires|provides) are fixed...

also noticed a security fix for older Mandrake versions.. not sure if

None of the cooker mirrors have sysklogd anymore?  My local mirror of
7.2beta has sysklogd-1.4-4mdk (rsynched last night).

And yes, there was a fix for the older versions of sysklogd released
last night.  It's still the 1.3 version, so not the newer 1.4 version
that's in cooker/7.2beta.
