Follow these step to regenerate this bug.

 1. use Mandrake 7.1

 2. create new user
$ useradd test1 -p ''

 3. login into gnome/sawmill desktop as user test1

 4. open gnumeric application

 5. select some texts from some X terminals to copy that texts into
X clipboard

 6. click menu Edit-Paste in gnumeric application

 7. The X system will then hang. Sawmill will hang and eat 99 time.

I'm not able to reproduce this bug with LM 7.2 beta 2 so I guess you'll
have to upgrade to 7.2 when it will become available...

If you mean the sound effects sawmill associates to various
window manager events, try the following:

middle mouse button menu - customize - sound

There's a setting 'enable audio effects for window manager
events'.

Hm ... I don't get such annoying beeps. I dunno where they
come from.

The system beep can be configured via the Gnome Control Center.
Look under Peripherals/Keyboard/Keyboard bell.
Just set the volume to zero.

this is fixed ! You can just run the control center or keyboard-properties (from e
terminal)
then set the volume percent to 0 .

ok, a sawmill-0.26-2mdk.i586.rpm is on his way to the mirrors.
I reintegrate the themer inside since it's light. Seems to work here.

It doesn't need librep.so.7, it needs librep.so.8. In fact, it doesn't
build a librep.so.7 file at all. Does sawmill-0.25.1 say it requires
librep.so.7? It shouldn't... I have it working just fine here with the
new librep and new rep-gtk (which 0.25.1 requires the new versions of).

Is it an unfortunate mistake for the new librep package to not contain
librep.so.7 ... do I have to downgrade librep, librep, rep-gtk,
 rep-gtk-libglade and rep-gtk-gnome???

If you downgrade those packages, 0.25.1 will *not* work. Look at the
sawmill home page, it needs librep-0.11 and rep-gtk-0.9.1. It should work
just fine... what errors are you getting exactly?
