The comment was targeted at my comment regarding vdr-plugins
ftp://ftp.berlios.de/pub/avm-capi4linux/temp (Source RPM will show up in
the next days) Your RPMs belong to contrib, that is not frozen either,
so the tools should go in there.

 best,

 svetljo

 PS.
i still think they belong to cooker or contrib as without them in the
main kernel are two unuseful patches :
 - packetcdvd
 - mmc3 (DVD+RW as DVD-RAM/ harddrive)

Upload to contrib is possible, main is frozen.

uploading them now would may be a good point to enable udf write support in
the kernel,

without write support in kernel, one could may be use them to prepare packet
CD/DVD's or DVD+RW,
mount them in read mode, but not in read-write, so mounting -r an empty
DVD+RW or packet CD doesn't make much sense

alternatively one could compile the udf module from source,
or i might try to make a package similar to drm-kernel , including a single
module
but this is rather pointless i think

Ok, done.
I've put the b3 not in the version, but in the release. (the b3 was the
recommended version, or would you rather had b2? ehh, bit late to ask this

I also made some other small changes, but nothing major.

Thanks a lot :)
and yes the b3 had some important fixes

1.) may be including cdmrw in this package would be usefull, but i'll check
wether i can get it working first.

2.) let's wait for udf write support in kernel and 9.2 will have nice CD/DVD
writing
additions (i still have to try to package a hack k3b from cvs for a better
DVD-/+R(W) GUI )

If it's the same as last time, you should be OK - previously we've been
told that contrib follows different rules and never freezes as deeply as
main.

uploading it to contrib is still fine for now (butnot for main).

Cooker is frozen, but I don't believe contrib freezes until Lenny
decides to freeze contrib. IIRC, in the past, that freeze has been long
after the cooker freeze.

Ok thanks, that is what i thought, and the same goes i guess for udf
tools (I can write/read real udf on cd-rw using cd-rw as better floppy
? that would be cool, i miss that since a long time) , as the dvb
drivers need to be fixed as well first.
