  I cannot "cut" a file in one window in konqueror and then change windows 
and
  "paste" it there. It will only work if the first window remains open.
 

It is fixed in kdebase-1.99-5mdk

Kpackage is fixed! Great work!

I have a suggestion though... maybe tie the Install button to kdesu somehow, 
so when kpackage is launched as a normal user to browse packages, and the 
user decides that they want to install the package, they don't have to quit 
out of the program and restart it as root?
