[Cooker-firewall] Re: [SNF] SNF for Mandrake 8.1
Hello, Thank you very much for much for all your work ... Sincerely, Buchan Milne [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes: Hi All, I have compiled all the necessary packages for the new firewall in cooker for Mandrake 8.1, and have made them available at: http://ranger.dnsalias.com/mandrake/snf8.1/ You can find my gpg key (to verify the signed RPMs) at http://ranger.dnsalias.com/mandrake/snf8.1/gpg.key All packages (with the exception of ldetect, for which you can find the SRPM in http://ranger.dnsalias.com/mandrake/snf8.1/SRPMS) were built directly from the cooker RPMs. Once you have installed the RPMs (rpm -Uvh *.rpm), you can create an admin account for the firewall as follows: # /usr/share/naat/scripts/change-password.pl admin password Then point your browser at https://localhost:8443 Happy firewalling! So, how do we start hacking SNF? Regards, Buchan P.S. Please don't advertise the url outside this list as we don't have that much bandwidth ... -- Florin http://www.mandrakesoft.com
[Cooker-firewall] cooker iso ...
hello all i'm new to cooker (and the list) and i'm wanting to check it out. i've pulled the entire /cooker directory down to a machine from one of the pub mirrors and i want to make an iso. the catch is, the box i've pulled the cooker dir down to is a windows machine and i'm not sure exactly what i need to do to create an iso. i know how to do it on a linux machine, but that doesn't do me much good here. any ideas? thanks in advance, -psyklone
[Cooker-firewall] naat-frontend-www-en-0.5-3.1mdk
just upgraded snf with the above package, i now get the following error during boot up and when running #./httpd-naat restart: chown: httpd-naat.admin: invalid user i cannot log on to the firewall as a result using a web browser, can this be fixed? bascule
Re: [Cooker-firewall] naat-frontend-www-en-0.5-3.1mdk
i just reinstalled snf and upgraded everything but the above but still got the error messages, it must have been the upgrade to either httpd-naat-0.5-4.1mdk or to naat-backend-0.5-6mdk, the error message only shows after naat restarts after the frontend upgrade, i was hoping to fix the 'prelude/snort' error that florin mentioned was fixed in a naat upgrade in a different thread bascule On Thursday 20 Dec 2001 5:37 am, you wrote: just upgraded snf with the above package, i now get the following error during boot up and when running #./httpd-naat restart: chown: httpd-naat.admin: invalid user i cannot log on to the firewall as a result using a web browser, can this be fixed? bascule
