I have tried rpm --rebuilddb to no avail. Some packages still install, but many do not, via urpmi, rpmdrake or rpm. Anybody seen this before? So, I will try and compile all of snf on 8.1 at home, and post the rpms as soon as I am done. A BuildRequires for libnet in snort would be nice ... Is it possible to install the smf package on an up-to-date 8.1 box, or does it need to be cooker? I could happily test on 8.1, but can not download a full cooker install.
