PPC Speed
Just wondering what people have found for improvements to the speed of PPC... There is hdparm which can be used to give it a nice boost. However, on my G4 I can give it a multicount of 16, and have DMA enabled, but I can't change the IO Setting from 16 bit.. Then theres KDE which can be recompiled with objpreload to give it a bit of a boost. X could in theory have DRM enabled, but we need an agpgart for the Apple UniNorth AGP. Any other ideas for tweaks to speed the machine up? Ian --- Ian White email: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
