I don't know who, when and how this bug was corrected for x86. x86 uses the gatos ati2 drivers, which we were also using in the last XFree iteration, which I was told did not work at all with r128. I reverted back to the XFree ati drivers. If this is true, then I guess the kdm wierdness is an improvement over no X at all. The next time it comes up, Ill generate a BugBuddy report and send it off to the GNOME folks; would you like a copy of the debugging info as well? Sure, send it over. Looking over the control-center and bonobo SRPMS, it looks like this problem is not new on x86 either. Frederic has several iterations of patches that have been applied/removed.
