Chicken And Rice Casserole 1 can cream of celery soup 3 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves 1 tbsp. dry onion soup mix ½ c. long-grain rice, uncooked Method 1. Combine the soup and rice in a well greased crock pot. 2. Stir well. 3. Put the chicken breasts on top of the rice mixture. 4. Sprinkle the onion soup mix over the chicken breasts. 5. Kelly's Lemon-Pepper Turkey Breast With Gravy 1 boneless turkey breast(whatever size fits your pot 1 10 oz. can cream of chicken soup 1/4 cup lemon juice 1 tsp. parsley flakes salt pepper to taste 1 tsp. cornstarch mixed with 1/4 cup water Method 1. Place turkey in crock pot, add lemon juice and gravy pouch if you have it(1 extra can of soup if not) and soup. 2. Sprinkle parsley, salt pepper over turkey. 3. Cover and cook on low for 7-1/2 hours. 4. ?Family Swiss Steak Makes 6 servings 2 tablespoons (18 g) unbleached all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) crushed dried thyme 1/4 teaspoon (1.25 ml) sweet paprika 1 1/2 pounds (720 g) boneless beef round steak, cut 1 inch (2.5 cm) thick 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Worcestershire sauce canola oil cooking spray 1 large garlic clove, peeled and thinly sliced 2 medium celery ribs, thinly sliced 2 medium onions, peeled and thinly sliced 4 medium plum tomatoes, thinly sliced 1/2 cup (120 ml) reduced-sodium canned beef broth Method 1. In a small bowl, combine flour, thyme, and paprika. Using a pastry brush, brush steak pieces with Worcestershire sauce. Dredge in flour mixture. 2. Lightly coat a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray. Place on stove over medium-high heat. Add steak pieces and brown on both sides, about 5 minutes per side. 3. I like these very simple but tasty kind of recipes, but I don't have a crock pot and have never used one. I would like to adapt them to a skillet with lid on top of the stove and am thinking that some more liquid would be needed. Do you think a soup can of water added and cook for about twenty minutes for white rice to cook would be the anser? Am I right in thinking that the use of a slow cooker holds in the steam and therefore less liquid is needed. General advice on adapting crock pot recipes to top of stove would be apreciated. Thanks. Hi, I think adding one can of water along with the can of soup will work. The chicken itself will provide some liquid too. The rice and chicken together will probably take 20 or so minutes.
