Nanny Kerr Pumpkin Pie 3 9 inch pie shells, unbaked 6 eggs 1-8 ounce can evaporated milk 1, ½ cups brown sugar ½ teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon vanilla flavouring 2 teaspoons pumpkin spice mix OR 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon cloves 1/8 teaspoon ginger 1-28 ounce can pumpkin In large bowl blend all ingredients together with electric mixer. Mixture should form spicy custard consistency. Divide aamong 3, 9 inch unbaked pie pastries. Heat oven to 425'F and place pies in oven for 10 minutes. Reduce temperature to 325'F for 25 minutes. Sweet Potato Pone 3 medium sweet potatoes 1 cup milk 1 cup molasses 1 egg (beaten) 2 T sugar 1/2 t salt 1/2 t cinnamon 1/2 t allspice 1/4 cup butter Peel and grate sweet potatoes. Combine the remaining ingredients except butter and mix thoroughly. Add grated potatoes, mix well and pour into a greased 8x8 pan. Dot top of pone with butter. Place pan in cold oven and set temp at 350 degrees. Bake for 1hr. and 15 minutes.
