[CnD] The IMate Summitt

2012-04-18 Thread Tom Dickhoner
I received my imate summit bar code scanner on Monday evening. This was after I
made my order on Thursday. It's easy to operate. It will take time to really
learn how to use it, It won't be difficult. It will just take practice.

My question to you is this. Would any of us who are on the list be able to tell
me where I can get an ear plug that will work for the scanner? When I called
iInvision America, I was told that a cell phone ear bud would work just fine. I
tried all my Cincinnati Bell ear buds that I have, and the two I have don't
even work. Where should I take my summitt to get an ear plug that will work.

I was disappointed that one didn't come in my package.

Have a great day. I would appreciate any help that I can get.

Thanks in Advance,

[CnD] My mom's Madam Connie's Capirotada

2012-04-18 Thread Sugar
This is my mom's recipie
Madam Connie's Capirotada

Ingrediants:

1 long French bread, sliced

Butter

Monterey Jack Cheese,shredded

*amount depends on likeing)

Nut meg to taste

5 cones of Piloncillo(Mexican brown sugar)

4 Cinnamon sticks

1 pound of raisins

Hhalf pound peanuts(raw)

Half pound pecans

All nuts according to taste.

1 cup Colacion(Mexican hard carmel candy just for taste, these candies will not
melt, used just for flavor)

1 cup Brown sugar

 Instructions:

***notes***

This bread pudding goes inlayers.

Remember to check as you go.

Per each layer, be watchful of lifquid you are pouring, for the bread will
rise, and you will need to make sure each layer is covered thoroughly through
and through, for a successful outcome.

Layers:

Butter each slice of French bread, then grill every slice both sides.

In a large pot, boil 4 quarts water, adding all of the ingrediants, except for
nut meg.

Over a medium, high flame, bring to a hard boil, apprx. 10 minutes, then to a
simmer setting aside.

In a large deep dish pan(preferred a round shape), place all buttered, grilled
bread slices in to pan in layers

layer:

Sliced butter bread, cheese, pour boiled liquid over bread, making sure it is
totally convered.

make sure each layer is fully covered with all ingrediants in simmering liquid.

spreading shredded cheese for each layer. Cheese depends on how cheezy you want
this traditional bread pudding to come out.

Layers depend on how many sliced breads you can get out of the French bread
loaf.

Usually 2 to 3 layers.

 Repeating instruction for every time.

For the last layer, sprinkle nut meg to taste.

See notes given before the layers. Making sure you keep an watch on levels of
liquid as you pour, for the bread will rise, but making certain that each layer
is covered thoroughly.

Once pan is all covered with liquid, cover pan, and for about 10 minutes over
low flame, checking constantly.

Making sure it doesn't dry.

Key is to let bread soak in the sugar liquid, so that it is fully absorbed for
a moist texture.

Enjoy

Kathy,

Go for it! I have done that, you can use yogart in stead of sour cream
in most any recipe. the vanilla yogart would just make it even better
tasting I would thing than jus plain yogart would.Katie

[CnD] FLUFFY YOGURT-SCRAMBLED EGGS

2012-04-18 Thread marilyn deweese
FLUFFY YOGURT-SCRAMBLED EGGS

6 eggs
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
2 tablespoons butter

In a bowl, stir together eggs, yogurt and salt.

In a skillet over low heat, melt butter; add egg mixture. As the eggs begin to
thicken, use a spatula to turn them over gently. Turn portions of egg mixture
with spatula as it begins to thicken; do not stir. Be careful not to overcook -
1 or 2 minutes is usually long enough; eggs should still appear moist.

Makes 4 servings.
