Boy if I need to know about a coffee maker I know who to call, LOL. Thank you. I just forgot the name. I have to clean mine I think by running vinegar water through it, is that the correct way to sanitize it? It has been sitting on my counter and I have not used it for a year or more because I simply let my own pleasures go for George's needs. Now this fall and winter when it gets cool I can get absorbed in a cup of coffee with only a little creamer for different flavors. I know too much of that is not good for weight and diabetes control but I also am trying to be good to myself again and enjoy life's simple pleasures. I have a coffee maker that you just measure out the coffee, pour the cup of water into it and put your mog underneath it. Then press the button and in a couple minutes out comes the coffee. Black and Decker makes them and so does Hamilton Beach. Yes, you have to measure the coffee, but you don't have to worry about programming because they all have buttons and are not digital. -Original Message- From: cookinginthedark-boun...@acbradio.org [mailto:cookinginthedark-boun...@acbradio.org] On Behalf Of Becky Sent: Saturday, July 21, 2012 5:17 PM To: cookinginthedark@acbradio.org Subject: Re: [CnD] Keurig Coffee Maker My son and his wife gave us a Keurig for Christmas a couple of years ago. In other words, I don't use the maker unless I am desperate. Re: [CnD] Trying Again! A Lettuce Question
I find an ordinary plastic bag does not work unless you make some holes in it. If you look at celery or lettuce bags that these vegetables come in from the store, they the bags have holes. -- From: Sandy from OK! warren.san...@sbcglobal.net Sent: Monday, July 23, 2012 3:11 PM To: cookinginthedark@acbradio.org Subject: Re: [CnD] Trying Again! A Lettuce Question See! That is precisely! What I was doing, first in the paper toweling, then in the plastic bag, and no matter how fast I tried eating it, within a matter of days, it was starting to feel wilted and the bottom of the plastic bag had moisture/liquid in it, and slimey feeling lettuce. The one thing I did and failed to mention here is also kept the plastic the lettuce came in with the holes, put the paper towels in there, then into a plastic grocery bag. Tupperware does have the lettuce container. The lid can be a little tricky. Debbie Deatherage -Original Message- From: Sandy from OK!
