[CnD] STRAWBERRY FLUFF FRUIT DIP

2015-07-25 Thread Sugar via Cookinginthedark
STRAWBERRY FLUFF FRUIT DIP
Prep Time: 2 minutes
Yield: 4-6 servings
Serving Size: 1/4 cup

1 7 oz container Marshmallow Fluff or Cream (name brand is best)
1 8 oz container strawberry cream cheese
Fruit for dipping

Place the marshmallow fluff and cream cheese into a bowl and
using an electric or handheld mixer, beat the two ingredients
together until smooth. This works best if you've let the cream
cheese sit out for 10 minutes first, but it's not necessary. Spoon
into a serving dish and arrange fruit on a platter.

Note - This dip can be made up to 2 days ahead of time, wrapped
tightly in saran wrap or stored in tupperware until ready to serve.
Leftovers can easily be stored the same way.

[CnD] BREAKFAST BRUNCH SALAD

2015-07-25 Thread Sugar via Cookinginthedark
BREAKFAST BRUNCH SALAD
added by Sharon Whitley

I don't like many traditional breakfast foods. This is one of those
perfect alternatives. It's good, yet anything but traditional. Give it a
try.
Prep time: 15 Min Serves: 4-6

1 bag(s) prepared salad mix
1 c granola with raisins
1-2 bananas, sliced
1 c strawberries, sliced
1 c blueberries
1 c mandrarin orange slices
1 c toasted pacan halves

DRESSING
1 c honey
3/4 c orange juice

Gently toss lettuce with fruits and nuts. Stir honey and orange juice
together until well mixed. Drizzle on salad and serve.

Tip: lemon or pineapple juice on banana slices helps to keep them
from turning brown.

[CnD] CHEESY CHICKEN CRESCENT ROLL

2015-07-25 Thread Sugar via Cookinginthedark
CHEESY CHICKEN CRESCENT ROLL
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 20 minutes
Total time: 25 minutes
Serves: 4

2 chicken breasts cooked and shredded (I cook them in the slow
cooker overnight, then skin and debone)
1 8 count crescent rolls
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 cup milk or buttermilk
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Spray 9x13 pan with Pam.

Lay out crescent rolls in 4 sections on waxed paper. (Keep the
triangles together to form a rectangle).

Put shredded chicken and cheese on rolls and roll them up (like a
short burrito).

Mix cream of chicken soup and milk and heat on stovetop in a
small pan until fairly smooth. (add any leftover chicken or cheese
to this).

Pour between crescent rolls in pan. (Be careful to pour around, not
on top or they will be mushy!).

Bake in oven for 15-20 minutes or until crescent rolls are cooked
through and brown on top.

I've done this several times and they come out great. I like to serve them with
