A friend recommended date sugar. I put it in hot tea and found out it doze better dissolved in a little hot liquid first. I was happy with the sweetness level and taste. Hi It should be a liquid form of substitute. If you don't care for the sugar intake, try a light corn syrup or maple syrup.
