Chocolate Dipped Snacks Dip your favorite cookies, pretzels, potato chips or dried fruits in chocolate for an easy sweet treat everyone will love! definition list of 1 items 1/2 cup HERSHEY'S Milk Chocolate Chips 1/2 cup HERSHEY'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips 1 tablespoon vegetable shortening (do not use butter, margarine, spread or oil) Cookies, dried apricots, miniature pretzels or potato chips list end list of 4 items 1. Cover tray with wax paper. 2. Place chocolate chips and shortening in small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at HIGH (100%) 1 minute; stir. If necessary, microwave at HIGH an additional 15 seconds at a time, stirring after each heating, just until chips are melted and mixture is smooth when stirred. Cool slightly. 3. Dip 2/3 of each snack or fruit into chocolate mixture. Shake gently to remove excess chocolate. 4. Place on prepared tray. Refrigerate, uncovered, about 30 minutes or until coating is firm.
