[COOT] Sequence window

2020-01-01 Thread David J. Schuller
Coot 0.8.9.2 EL (ccp4) on Linux:

Why is the "Coot Sequence View" so big, particularly in the vertical? It
resists being squeezed smaller, and there is a lot empty wasted space at
the bottom. I have quite a few chains, and it is difficult to arrange
all the necessary windows on my desktop.

Oh, and Happy New Year.

Hmm. It isn't (for me). I've been wanting for a while, to make it a bit taller
when one has only one chain.

But perhaps you are using the sequence view on an antibody? That's a completely different widget that I
haven't thought about - and hardly seen - for about 10 years.

Do you have sequence numbers above and below the sequences?

So presumably not antibodies. Hmm. I will bump the priority of this - I've been avoiding doing that because
I might need pango to fix it - and that's a whole other mini-language...

Paul.

Huh. The same symptom - too large vertically and cannot be reduced
- has annoyed me for a long time. Not enough to do anything about it,
but I certainly recognize the description. Could it be a font issue?
